Massive Haul!

I haven't posted in a long time, but this whole summer I've been pretty much shopping like crazy. I'll start off with the make-up products that I purchased yesterday.

I had a mini-MAC cosmetics shopping spree yesterday as a late graduation gift from my grandma. In all, this is what I got:

I bought:
  • MAC 188 brush (stippling brush)
  • Diva matte lipstick
  • Brick-O-La amplified creme lipstick
  • Cranberry (Frost eye shadow)
  • Pink Freeze (Frost eye shadow)
  • Superslick liquid eye-liner in "On the Hunt"
  • Powerpoint eye pencil in "Engraved"
Close ups?

I haven't tested out any of these products yet, but when I do, I'll post a review.

Thanks for reading!

Product Review

I've been doing a lot of shopping recently, mainly make-up products, which is obvious if you keep up with my blog! Anyway, I just thought it would be nice to make a little blog reviewing the different products I've bought. For me, personally, I really rely on product reviews from everyday people, because it's raw, and they aren't really too worried about criticizing a product, but with the products I have purchased, I have nothing negative to say (:

First product: Coastal Scents 88 Color Eye Shadow Palette
A bunch of friends suggested that I buy this product! My friend told me about it a couple years ago, but I haven't really gotten into make-up until this year, so that is when I purchased it. What I really enjoy about this product is that all of the colors are highly pigmented. There are pictures on my previous blog if you want to see what colors there are. Each color is about the size of a dime. It was somewhat disappointing seeing how small the actual eyeshadow is, but at the same time, 88 colors for $20, compared to one colors for $14. Plus, I know people who've had this palette for a year, and still have a lot of color left on the ones that they use often.

Second product: Ecotools Bamboo 6-Piece Brush Set
I needed some new brushes, because my first set ever of brushes were really cheap quality, and that was all I had before. I've been using these for a couple weeks now, and they're pretty good quality. There aren't any signs of shedding, unlike my brushes from before, and they are really soft! The price was about $11 or $12. I purchased them from Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Overall they are good quality, and pretty inexpensive.

Sorry I haven't been posting! School has been overwhelming to say the least. I'm getting in make-up pretty heavily now, which is exciting! I'm helping a few friends with the events they have coming up, (i.e. Rose Diamond Fashion Show and Human Root, a Zombie film my friend is putting together). I'll keep you guys updated with what is going on!

I have the most craziest obsession with...

MAKE-UP! Most specifically Urban Decay Cosmetics. And even more specifically, the Urban Decay Vegan Palette, Naked Palette, Sustainable Shadow set, and Ammo Eye Palette.
Now, Urban Decay is one of my favorite brands of make-up. I've only used samples of these palettes, but they work very well! I'm saving up to buy at least 2 palettes out of these four. They are available at either the Urban Decay Website or at Sephora.
The vegan palette consists of six different eyeshadows (Minx, Urb, Gunmetal, Baked, Smog, and Half-Baked), a travel-size 24/7 Glide-On eye pencil in Zero, and eyeshadow primer potion in sin.

Since I'm kind of lazy right now, I'll post the link and pictures of each product so that if any of you are interested, you can look into these products further!

I was going through a bunch of online sites, and I stumbled upon InStyle. I'll share a couple hairstyles that I thought were really cute!

In this picture, Natalie Portman is rockin' a deep side part with low full curls. To get this look, please follow to this link.
Here is Anne Hathaway with long uniform curls. To get this style click here.

I'd really like to write more, but I'm trying to focus more on my artwork for my AP class, but please go to the sites if you want to try out any of these hairstyles and more!

Sunday Morning

I woke up around 8:00 AM, then I took a shower, and now here I am, blogging about my weekend. I've honestly tried to stay away from shopping since school started, but my mom likes to go shopping a lot, and I went with her yesterday. So this is what I got yesterday:

It is a brown coach purse. It was really cute, and on sale! My mom said if I really wanted it, she would buy it for me; so she did. The original price is marked $148.00, but I got it for $55. On the right are just my new glasses that I got. They're Paul Frank.

Last weekend I got this cute blue dress from American Rag. $39.00. I don't think I'm going to be wearing it out anytime soon, especially because it's a constant 40 degrees outside, haha. I'm just preparing for the future!
Until next time!

Black Swan

Currently watching Black Swan. It's kind of a trip, but it just started.

First Post of 2011!

It's a couple days overdue, mainly because school just started again, but it's all good! I came home early today because I didn't feel good, so here I am, blogging. On Monday I was super excited to find my package came in!

It's the 88 color eye shadow palette from Coastal Scents. It's an online site, which was recommended to me by a couple of friends. Now, I hasn't got to test it out yet, but I heard it's amazing.

This week, I also stumbled upon this! It is a vintage clothing store on Etsy.com. I was looking through the inventory, and there's some really cute dresses, jackets, shoes, sweaters, all that good stuff! Compared to other vintage clothing sold on Etsy, this place isn't too expensive. Definitely under the $100 mark. So please check it out and happy shopping!

2011

What are we expecting for the fashion in 2011? I did some looking around online, and some websites have posted their spring and summer looks. The "key looks" that this website posted were 70's glam, Biker clothing, punk fashion, and 60's lady-like. From the trends of 2010, I feel like it all gradually led up to the "decision" of what these 2011 fashion trends were going to be.
You should really read the article of the link I posted just above it has everything from men and womens' key looks of 2011, as well as accessory and shoe trends. I think 2011 will be a good year for fashion! Time to get those creative juices flowing!

What's in your make-up bag?

I love simple make-up, and I think if things are done right, they can really compliment an outfit. Now everything in my make-up bag is very simple, but the contents are definitely growing rapidly! I split this into four sections lipsitck/gloss, eyeshadow, eyeliner, and mascara.

In the picture above, are four lipsticks and one lip gloss. From left to right: The first is Clinique, Chianti. The color is sort of a mocha mixed with a little be of red. The next one is Orange Cranberry lip gloss. I got it as a Christmas gift from a friend, so I'm not exactly sure where it's from. The purple tube is Urban Decay. I bought it at Sephora in a little set, and the shade is called Midnight Cowboy. It's a nude, shimmery color. To the right of that is from BareMinerals; it's called cream puff and it is another nude color, which I absolutely love. The last tube is made by Revlon and can be bought at your local drugstore. It is a burgundy and is called Plum
Next is eyeshadow! The one on the left I use mostly for the mirror, but the shadow duo is butter pecan, and the blush powder is sunset glow from Clinique. The middle one is from E.L.F. and it's just a eyeshadow duo (black magic). Last but not least, is a 12-palette of various shimmery colors from Forever 21.
Now here's my favorite part! I love eyeliners. They're the best, for me personally! I have four eyeliner pencils. Two are Urban Decay (Ransom and Flipside), the brown is from Almay (02 brown topaz), and the last one, a simple black, is from Benefit. My liquid eyeliner (far left), is Infinite liquid eyeliner by Milani. I also have a smoky cream liner by Sephora, along with an angled brush (15). All of these products are 24-hour wear and are also waterproof.
Mascara! I have a variety. I use all of them at random times, ahah. From left to right: Urban Decay mascara, Diorshow mascara, Maybelline's great lash mascara, and the one I use most often, Falsies volum express mascara by Maybelline NY.

I'll leave you with a song!

I decided to make a new blog.

It's a fresh start, and it is soon to be a new year! Anyway, the holiday season has been crazy this year, and I definitely got some shopping in, because I know that I won't be shopping for a while after wards. Not only did I get to shop, but I also received a few gifts from people. (I apologize for the poor phone quality. My camera battery is charging still.)

The gray blazer is from the Gap. Now, I don't usually shop there, mainly because everything is so expensive. BUT this time, since it's the Christmas season, everything had an additional 50% off. It was originally around $50, so you can do the math. (:
The black bag I bought at Forever 21. I was standing in line, and seen it on the little racks next to the register. I couldn't resist! It reminded me too much of Chanel, so I knew I had to cop.
This sweater is a gift from one of my best friend's, Rachel. She knows that I love those types of sweaters that are like what old people wear, but still stylish, so she got me this little number. You can't really tell from the picture, but it's teal.
I also bought a brown cardigan, but I was unable to take a picture of it.
For previous buys that I have posted on my old blog, click these links: Latest Obsession, Random Stuff,Birthday Shopping.

Have a great day everyone! And I'll leave you all with a song:
